Pictures from the end of 2008

These next two pictures are from CVS trips. The duracell battery deal was awesome!

Well, that's what I got from all those wonderful stores to end 2008, shortly I will upload new pictures from 2009. As I mentioned earlier, my goal this year is to get everything uploaded in a timely manner, lol. We'll see how that goes...

In general, I think that I probably spent $1500 on all this (KMART doubles really made me go crazy). But that's all I'll say about all this :)

My strategy for 2009

I am going to have a new strategy for 2009. I used to be a member of the Nielson Homescan panel, but I really found it annoying scanning everything in and I wasn't able to get all my pics up here. I prob have about 15 or so pics from last year that I still did not add in here. I might add them tonight because of all the good deals I got at the KMart double deals event!

I think that this year I will have three different tallies. I will have money left to spend, money made (for the money I make off the sales of the products in yard sales) and the third tally will be the amount that I saved. I want to track more thoroughly what I am exactly doing. My husband wants to make sure that I am not spending too much money on this little hobby of mine, although I don't understand because he gets to reap the benefits of the food and other products he can use that we would have probably paid full price for anyways. I think that I am doing great. The only difference is that sometimes I buy tons of one thing that I know I don't need but can sell at the garage sale. For example, I have a ton of the toothpaste that I REALLY like. But I still get toothpaste any time that it is free, so I probably had bought at least a hundred tubes of toothpaste last year. But I sell it for either $1 or $2 at my sales. So, I see it as both getting to have fun saving money, and making money too!

Anyways.... I have bought newspapers this year and will start the tallies off with that. Also, I have gone to Walgreens once and Meijer once. I think that I will also add in other purchases that I make and allow myself $100 month for all my spending/sales/deals/etc.

So far, with the newspapers:

Left to Spend: $1200-$10 newspapers for Jan 4-$15 newspapers for Jan 11= $1175
Money Made: $0 (too cold for sales!)
Money Saved: $0 (this shall change VERY soon!!)

Well, off to get newspapers for this week, take photos and get everything together for my first month of the new year of blogging!!

Last week at Walgreens!

Walgreens was great last week!
Put everything on gc, but I think Right Guard was supposed to be B1G1 free, and mine didn't ring up that way, they didn't even ring up on sale, I don't see why i would have purchased them otherwise, so need to check up on that, erg, I hate when things don't go right. usually I make little mistakes here and there that add up to big messes because i end up spending too much oop, but luckily at WAgs i got GC to spend...

Last week at Rite Aid I was able to get in on some good deals. I spent $35.14 OOP and should hopefully receive about $34 in rebate checks and gift cards from them, and will try for $65.00 from the meter, which would be a great moneymaker, but we'll see what they send me.

Last week- Kroger and CVS

Here's a pic of the stuff I got last week from CVS. I had a raincheck for hand renewal for $0.99- $1Q, which was awesome, still have raincheck for five more, jsut need to find them.
I spent $3.78 OOP and got back $15 ECB, and will be submitting for Just for Men rebate as well!
I am rebuilding ECB from earlier in the year when I stopped going for like 3 months, and they all expired! Luckily, there is one CVS that WILL accept my expireed ECBs. I have three cards and want to get down to only having one, so will use expired ones from those two accounts this week and work my way down to nothing left so I can make it easier on myself since I am doing more stores now :)
Total savings listed was $48.15

For Kroger, I didn't have time to take a pic because my camera was out of power, but I did the Glade and Poweade deals and got some much needed bread along with gum that was on sale and did the Fiber One bars, all in all this is what it said at the bottom of my receipt:
Balance: $14.15
Total savings: $82.21
AND I have $4 OynO left along with $1 off 3 powerade zero 32oz, which I hope to use tonight and roll deal a few more times iwth the GLADe while the sale is still going on this week:)
